President Barack Obama just took a major step that will help advance the freedom to marry in very important ways. On the recommendation of the Attorney General, the President has determined that sexual orientation discrimination should be presumed unconstitutional. As a result, the Department of Justice will no longer defend the discriminatory so-called “Defense of Marriage Act” law in federal courts.

Join us in thanking President Obama and his administration for taking this important step forward towards ending federal discrimination against gay and lesbian couples and their families.

The Bible says “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people” (Pro 14:34).  This should serve as a reminder that whenever a nation’s leaders stray from the righteousness found in the scriptures, their sin is a reproach upon the entire nation.  President Barak Obama has betrayed the trust of the majority of the people of the United States of America by ending the DOMA (Defense Of Marriage Act which states that the government will only recognize marriage between a man and a woman) act.    In so doing he has brought reproach against our nation and has brought it down one more rung on the morality ladder.  It wasn’t enough that he was for abortion in every stage of pregnancy, now he has to afford the homosexuals the same rights and privileges that heterosexual couples enjoy (such as join filing of Income Tax; adoption of children; recognition of being a family, etc.,.) which ought not to be.  President Obama doesn’t seem to care that the Bible condemns homosexuality, all he cares about is allowing the homosexuals to be treated equal  with heterosexuals.  God will judge him and his administration for this abomination in the day of judgment.

I have tried for many years, now, to get people to wake up to the fact that our way of life is being stripped away from us on a massive scale.  I have been met with cynicism and doubt.  I have had people tell me that I read too much atheistic material.  I have been laughed at and scorned because people didn’t want to hear the truth.  Well now here it is.  Atheists are working to take “One Nation Under God” out of the pledge of allegiance, “In God We Trust” off of our money, and have already removed prayer from the school.  In short the unGodly are working to remove God from every semblance of society.  Now we have a president who says that an act which defines marriage between a man and a woman only is unconstitutional, and in saying that such act should not be upheld, he works to recognize homosexual marriages as lawful, and good.  Is Obama a Godly man?  Hardly!  His record shows that he is one of the most UNGODLY Presidents we have ever had, and that includes Bill Clinton–and that is saying something.  I have no problem with Obama because of his party affiliation.  I have serious problems with many of the things that the Republican party endorses.  I fought against legalized gambling in Missouri which was endorsed by the Republican party.  I voted against the “Conceal Carry” law which the Republicans in Missouri got legislated.  There are Republicans who endorse homosexuality and abortion.  I have voted many times for Democrats because the Democrat candidate was more moral and better qualified to serve than his/her Republican counterpart.   So I couldn’t care less about Obama’s party affiliation.  My gripe against President Obama is his penchant for continually upholding unGodly values.  I was proud of him (though I did not vote for him–I did want to give him the benefit of a doubt) when he was inaugurated and stood up, placed his hand on the Bible and said “So Help Me God” in taking his oath of office against the warnings of liberal minority groups.  However, since that time he has shown us his true colors.  Where is his righteousness now?  Where is his willingness to uphold what the Bible says about homosexuality now?  Where is his desire to do things as God wants them done now?  When he took his oath of office he placed his hand on the Bible and swore to uphold the constitution of this country, with “So Help Me God.”  Now he does away with the oldest institution (Marriage between a man and a woman) and throws that back in God’s face, as well as in the face of every God-fearing man, woman and child, not only in this country, but also in the entire world by allowing marriage to be mocked by homosexuals.

The first home was created on the sixth day of creation when God brought the woman to the man:

And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.  (Gen 2:22)
And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.  (Gen 2:23)
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.  (Gen 2:24)
And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.  (Gen 2:25)

Jesus said:

But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.  (Mar 10:6)
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;  (Mar 10:7)
And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.  (Mar 10:8)
What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.  (Mar 10:9)

Clearly God intended marriage to be ONLY between one man and one woman for life.  Nothing is said about two men or two women.  One man, and one woman for life.  Those are the only ones that God will join together in marriage.  What about the homosexuals?  God does not recognize them as being married, and while President Obama has turned his back on God’s laws, God won’t.  God will punish homosexuals in the day of judgment because they are not living in accordance with his divine will.   God will punish, not only them, but also those who “have pleasure in them that do them”  (Rom 1:32).

Mr. President, don’t you know that the Bible says “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people” (Pro 14:34)?  Don’t you know, sir, that your actions here are unGodly?  Why do you wish to bring America down once more?  Aren’t we stooped enough in sin as it is?  Why would anyone who claims to be a believer in God and his word want to do away with an act that will keep marriage between the people that God made marriage for in the first place (men marrying women only)?

What can we, as citizens of this country, do?  We can write our congress people and get them to repeal President Obama’s ruling and keep DOMA in force.  We can pray that God will, through his providential power, keep this from happening.  And we can remember President Obama’s actions here (as well as those concerning abortion) in the next election.  It seems that the only thing that politicians understand is vote count.  Heterosexuals are in the majority, and we should all stand together next election and vote President Obama out if he won’t change his position.
